Getting started

From sign-in to your first dictated sentence.

1. Sign in

Open whisper.thundera.eu/app. If you are signed out you are sent to the shared Thundera login and returned to Whisper. New accounts start on the Free plan.

2. Install a client

Open Downloads in the app and pick your platform (see Clients for requirements). The web app does not dictate system-wide — install a native client for that.

3. Grant permissions

• Microphone on every platform.
• Accessibility on macOS — required to type into the focused application.

4. Dictate

Use the global hotkey (macOS default: double-tap Fn; Windows default: Win+H), or the microphone key on the iOS and Android keyboards. Speak; text appears at the cursor.

5. Make it yours

• Add names and jargon to the Dictionary.
• Save repeated text as Snippets.
• Choose tone, language and translation in Settings.
